Oracle Ready to Serve Public and Private Cloud

Oracle is ready to enliven the cloud computing market by introducing several types of services based on cloud-computing in Indonesia.

Willie Hardie, vice president, Database Product Marketing from Oracle in Jakarta, Tuesday (03/08/2011), explains that there are four models of cloud services offered by Oracle, the Private Cloud, Public Cloud, Cloud and Hybrid Cloud Community.

"Then there are three models of the services provided by Oracle, that is Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), Infrastructur as a Service (IassS),"said Willie Hardie.

Oracle common strategy is to provide customers with the most complete, open and integrated in the industry, ranging from application through to the disk.

Described specifically by Willie, Oracle strategy in terms of Cloud Computing are: ensuring that cloud computing devices meet corporate requirements, supports public and private cloud to provide choice for customers, provide product offerings and IaaS most comprehensive PaaS and SaaS spenawaran develop.

"Oracle for cloud-computing provides the most complete portfolio, open and integrated in the industry to build, hold and manage private and public clouds,"said Willie Hardie.

Oracle has the technology that enables companies to build private clouds fatherly, taking advantage of public cloud and provide cloud services for others, "said Willie Hardie.

Dashboard Twitter Track Political upheaval


News agency based in Qatar, Al Jazeera, has launched a dashboard to describe Twitter tweets about upheaval and revolution occurring throughout the world.

Dashboard noted tweet number of developments in countries such as Egypt, Yemen, Libya and Bahrain every minute. Similarly, as quoted by Mashable, Tuesday (03/08/2011).

In addition, the dashboard also shows tweets from each country per minute for hashtag the most attention on Twitter.

Al Jazeera is the most media carried stories about the political upheaval and revolution in the Middle East countries and Africa. Just like CNN much carried stories about the Gulf War.

Twitter mapping step performed by Al Jazeera does not appear to be too new for countries whose situation is heating up because of other projects such as lamjan25.com, real-time tweets Visualizer HyperCities Egypt and mapping real-time tweets from other media companies are already starting .

Even so, Al Jazeera's dashboard provides an overview of the size of where and how people use Twitter in the upheaval in the Arab world and Middle East.

40 Percent in the UK Not Visited Site


A recent survey conducted showed that 40 percent of sites in England were not visited at all by the user.

The study shows that some internet sites in the UK failed to attract users from both online advertising as well as from a free listing on Google and other search engines. Such as Net imperative

The survey reveals that 91 percent of the company's business in the UK failed to make advertising pay-per-click on the internet.

A survey conducted by ClickScene, found that 10 thousand of websites registered in the UK, only 900 (9 percent) who use ppc advertising, like Google AdWords.

Surprisingly, 4002 (40 percent) of these sites are not being visited at all, whether it be through advertising or ppc search results from search engines. This indicates that the patrons may be family and friends of the site builder.

"The Internet has become popular for over 10 years and now people use it as part of their lives," said Andrew Willis, Managing Director of ClickScene.

ClickScene recently has developed a free service that checks the website content and examine how they operate. The new service is said to create an attractive site visitors and prospective customers.

Google Hibahkan USD1, 25 Million By Nelson Mandela


Google is working with the Nelson Mandela Foundation to publish thousands of documents belonging to Mr. Mandela that was never published before.

To implement such cooperation in Google gives grants amounting to USD1, 25 million are directly given to the Nelson Mandela Foundation,

The money will allow the foundation to scan more than 10,000 Mandela's personal records, including records unreleased written by Mandela while in prison. Mandela was imprisoned for 27 years as a penalty against apartheid.

"This database will be accessible for free on the Internet," said Mckend.

Achmat Dangor, the leader of Mandela's foundation, said anyone with a computer, both located in Timbuktu to New York, will be able to access private documents belong to the winner of the Nobel Peace Prize in 1992.

It has been many things written about Mandela, especially autobiography, entitled 'Long Walk To Freedom', which has sold millions of copies worldwide. The foundation said that this step could be a 'new property' to open a further insight into the personal thoughts about Mandela and South Africa's ruling party, African National Congress, in the mid-1990s.

Internet users via Android Blackberry Defeat


Google in the smartphone operating istem the fly. Android has beat the Blackberry as a mobile Internet devices most widely used.

Launched by Cellular News, on Wednesday (09/03/2011), a research firm StatCounter establish Android as the operating system most widely used when accessing the internet on smartphones, beat Blackberry, in February of this, although not yet able to beat Nokia and Apple.

Global StatCounter Stats find if Android has a market share of 15.2 per cent of mobile internet, while only 14.5 per cent blackberry. First position, Symbian Nokia still leads the global market share of mobile Internet devices with Raihan 30.7 percent. While Apple IOS was second with 24.6 percent.

StatCounter also found that mobile internet users are more and more when compared to Internet users at the desktop. The comparison is almost doubled to reach 4.45 percent, while only 1.72 percent last year.

"Momentum was in line with the increasing number of users Android market share rose to three-fold over the past 12 months, from 5.4 percent to 15.2 percent," said CEO Aodhan Cullen StatCounter.

But not so with IOS that its market share down globally, from 33.9 percent to only 24.6 percent.

In the American West, Android also took over the Blackberry market share with their respective 26.4 percent and 22.2 percent. IOS actually leading with 37.5 percent market share, and Nokia's Symbian only 5.7 percent.
